Next summer’s FIFA World Cup will be unlike any before it. For the first time in history, the tournament expands to 48 teams, requiring more matches, more travel, and—for the first time ever—three host nations working together across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Demand is already unprecedented. Ticket applications have broken records, and supporters from around the globe are preparing to experience what will be the biggest World Cup of all time.

British Airways has announced a major change to its loyalty programme that will affect all Avios points collectors. From Monday 15th December 2025, the price of Reward Flights (flights booked using Avios points) will increase. These changes affect both the Avios points required and the cash component of the booking. The airline explained that the increases are driven by rising Air Passenger Duty, higher third-party charges, changing market conditions, and ongoing inflation.
